He was raised in Columbian Lodge, Boston in 1894, where he served as Worshipful Master from 1905 to 1907; exalted in St. Pauls Royal Arch Chapter, Boston in 1894, where he served as High Priest in 1907; greeted in Boston Council in 1896; and knighted in Boston Commandery, Boston in 1895.
